THE ROUSERS GEAR

Guitars
We've recently entered an era of using cheap, light equipment. I guess so we can sneak into town in the dead of night, stage a twang extraction, and disappear before anyone is the wiser...
Tom Milmore sports a pretty red De'Armond (model #?) which has top tone, great feel but is still affordable as diapers! Sadly, De Armond appears to be discontinued, perhaps since Fender got its paws on Guild. Hard to find good pics of one, so this is what you get.
The De Armond
The Brownsville Choirboy His Brownsville Choirboy, which is smart looking and fun 'n' EZ to play, hasn't been seen out in some time.
At $199, you can't beat it. For more info on these boss guitars, visit Brownsville (not to be confused with the other brownsville).
He used a Hamer, mostly, ever since his Les Paul was stolen and his Les Paul Junior was sold. He also has a 198? Telecaster w/ tobacco sunburst and a Yamaha acoustic.
Hamer Slammer bass
UPDATE: Bill Dickson has sidelined the Gretsch Electrostatic in favor of a Hamer Slammer Special, another great short-scale that rocks then rocks some more.
Gretsch Junior Jet bass
...yet he loves his Gretsch Electrostatic Junior Jet, another fairly light short scale but with a more rocking look than the, uh, Danelectro.
Before, Bill was thumping on a "blueburst" DanElectro Longhorn bass which sounded great and was super-light. And only $200. Visit Danelectro.com for more on this retro revolution. But after awhile it was just too freaky and femmed out looking. So he sold it to girl from a NY girl band called TAIL (nice!). This is blackburst. Bill's was blue.
Amps
Similr size amp to Tom's It's GOT to be Fender! Although we drool over models like the DeVille, two Fender Vibroluxes give all the twang and power needed. Tom even uses a littler Fender, called The Wimp, which is light enough to carry easily to gigs yet too big for a paper weight.
Bass amps are a whole different animal. Bill plays through a modest Hartke Kickback 12, which offers pretty fair tone but doesn't seem that loud. I know, it's not a Fender, and we all feel badly. Sorry, Leo. Hartke Kickback 12 pic
Drums
As Sandy Nelson once said, "Let there be Drums!"
This kit is a lot newer than Sal's! In this case, a set of vintage 1964 Ludwigs with red sparkle finish. Another kit is a beat to shit black Gretsch kit.
